From timeless traditions to creative new experiences, Spring Island offers a variety of venues designed for gathering, celebrating, and connecting. Whether it’s a lively concert or thought-provoking talk at the Summer House, a laid-back oyster roast at the historic Bonny Shore Gazebo, or a custom-crafted feast from the roaming Tabby Shack, each space brings its own personality to the table. Some are tucked beneath the oaks with a view of Callawassie Creek, others roll up wherever the party goes. Together, they create a rich tapestry of settings - each one rooted in the Island’s heritage, yet always ready to surprise.
At the heart of Walker Landing and overlooking the tranquil waters of Callawassie Creek, the Summer House is one of Spring Island’s most beloved gathering spaces. Set beside the family pool and just steps from the Sports Complex, it’s a versatile venue for celebrations, performances, and meaningful conversation.
From family reunions and festive dinners to Spring Island’s acclaimed Performing Arts Series, the Summer House brings members together through music, laughter, and learning. Its intimate setting makes every concert - from blues to classical to original works - feel personal. It’s also home to the weekly Spring Island Trust Talks, where thought leaders, artists, and experts share insights on everything from science to the humanities.
Perched along the banks of Callawassie Creek, the Bonny Shore Gazebo is where nature, history, and community come together. Originally built by the Walker family during Spring Island’s days as a storied quail hunting retreat, this iconic gathering spot now welcomes all Members to enjoy breathtaking sunsets and casual waterfront gatherings.
The gazebo plays host to the much-loved Summer Potluck Dinners, where no one knows what’s on the menu, but everyone leaves satisfied - in body and in spirit. Whether it’s 15 desserts or 15 entrées, the experience is always rich with laughter, connection, and the laid-back charm that defines Spring Island.
The River House offers chef-inspired cuisine in a relaxed yet refined setting. Members enjoy a seasonally driven menu featuring vegetables and spices sourced directly from Waterfall Farm. It's also a storied tradition for Members to bring in their fresh catch for our Chef to prepare a custom meal. With sweeping water views and a full-service bar, the River House serves as a vibrant social hub - an ideal gathering place before Trust Talks, Performing Arts events, or simply to connect with friends. At The River House, every meal is a celebration of community, fresh flavors, and the natural beauty that surrounds us.
Overlooking the scenic Broad River, the Golf House is uniquely positioned between Hole 9 and Hole 18 - offering stunning views and front-row access to the course’s most memorable moments. Here, you can watch players finish the front nine or make their final approach, all while soaking in the beauty of the river. Currently undergoing major renovations, the Golf House is being transformed into a vibrant space for the Island’s golfers and Members alike. It is home to the restaurant, pub-style bar, Pro Shop, Men’s and Women’s Locker Rooms - making it the perfect spot for a relaxing lunch, post-round drinks, or catching up with friends.
