Spring Island opens the door to lifelong learning, lifelong activity and connections to last a lifetime. The world-class amenities were created to forge these connections, both personal and with the natural splendor of the Island, through a variety of activity and gathering places. Authentic, exquisite and multi-generational are not only words, they’re the foundation on which every amenity was conceived and created. This is a place where you, your friends, family, children and grandchildren will make lifelong memories.
Spring Island, in conjunction with the Spring Island Trust engages Members to foster knowledge and cultivate interest in the Island and the wider surroundings. Through cultural, environmental and artist programs, Members have a rare opportunity to enhance their experience at Spring Island through a greater understanding and appreciation for all it has to offer.
Through the “Trust Talks” program, nationally recognized scholars, artists, naturalists, environmentalists, historians and Trust staff are invited to present weekly. Trust trips take Members off-island to locations like Florida’s natural springs and the high mountains of the Smokies. The Nature Center staff at Spring Island guide walks, kayak trips and more.
The Master Naturalist program, in partnership with Clemson University, offers the public the chance to be fully immersed in the Island’s natural habitat, as well as the entirety of the Lowcountry, for a broader understanding of this unique region.
Spring Island offers an exceptional culinary experience through its diverse cooking classes led by Chef Jeremy, a master of his craft. The Cooking School is a four-part series that provides hands-on instruction in professional kitchen techniques, including knife skills, baking, sauces, butchery, and pasta making. Participants enjoy a unique opportunity to refine their skills, donning their Spring Island chef coats and carrying their professional knife sets as they immerse themselves in this enriching and interactive experience.
